February 14, 2010 Happy Valentine's Day! Things are moving along here in a big way, we are up to 8000 acres and over 1700 cattle. We ride through them all 6 days a week checking on them. Calving season starts anytime and we’ll be very busy with that, about 450 of the cattle are bred and should calve in the next two months. The Clear Springs Ranch Manager and I hit it off pretty well, he’s from Montana and has quite of bit of ranch and cattle experience. We rope and doctor something a few times a week and load out anything that needs constant attention and trailer it to our King’s Mountain Ranch. I got the keys to the Operations Manager’s 2010 Ford dually last week and wouldn’t give them back! Put a bale feeding bed on the back and filled it with work tools. Ahh but he went out and got a really nice used King Ranch Dually to replace it. I offered him my keys back, but he just smiled. Go figure!!

December 16, 2009 Happy Holidays everyone! We are happy to announce that our Flying on Faith Trip has come to an end. I received and accepted an offer to assist the General Manager at the Red Bird Ranch in Koshkonong, Missouri. The owners have purchased three ranches totaling over 4,000 acres, Red Bird being the largest at approx. 3,200 acres. It has not had cattle on it for some time now, and we are going to be putting new infrastructure in place for aprox. 1,200 pairs of cattle. Keep checking back for more information!
